The client isn't damaged and in need of repair.  There's limited value in a "problem solver" approach.  The real value is in identifying opportunities and raising the bar to higher levels of performance.

A client relationship is only to be pursued if I am able to consistently provide value that drives them towards positive business outcomes.  Without that, I am wasting their time.

A maverick is a non-conformist.  The most dramatic successes I've witnessed in others and experienced personally - both in business and in life - have come from breaking away from the pack and doing what no one else is doing.   

Gary Halpert, a very successful marketing guru, put it quite succinctly: "If you are looking to achieve success with any endeavor, and you're not quite sure where to begin, a very safe bet is to simply look around at what others are doing in that area, then NOT do that."

I'm not one given to hairbrained ideas, fads, or hype.  In fact,  I am a firm believer in the "tried and true".  However, the "tried and true" is effectively implemented so rarely these days that doing so actually makes you a maverick!

 

You see it yourself.  Think of all the useless advertising, poor customer service, lack of follow-up, inept salespeople, shoddy products, indifferent employees, unreliable services, and broken promises you are subjected to on a regular basis.

 

This works to your advantage.  Today's consumers are so easily impressed by even the slightest hint of professionalism, competence, respect, and appreciation that they will flock to you if you can demonstrate these qualities.   

We don't need to re-invent the wheel to achieve the positive business outcomes you are seeking.  We just need to find the right wheels for your vehicle.
